Garden inspiration and color

I spent some time wandering in my garden this afternoon.  Many things bloom again after enduring the heat of summer.  It was a gorgeous clear day:  perfect for meandering outside and taking photos!
I love the shadows cast by the live oaks

 aloe
 purple coneflower
 Shrimp plant
ground cover on the rocks
For reasons that escape me, the lavender is blooming again!

  1. Are you trying to make me jealous as I descend into the depths of Hades?

  2. Looks divine as I deal with cold rain and mushy fallen leaves.

  3. Okay you two: I think it might be time for a little trip to South Texas. I'm sorry you are cold and rainy, and descending into the depths of hades, respectively.
We are awarded this beautiful weather for enduring the long summer heat.

  4. You have the most beautiful yard. The shot of the trees in the back are magnificent..wow. It's like having another room in your house, only outside. And you really use your yard. Nothing but lovely memories of sitting out in your garden with you and Tim and drinking coffee.

  5. Thank you, Jamie. I love my garden. It is like a little piece of paradise: so quiet and private. It is always better with friends on the patio!
