See my segment in Season 7 of Quilting Arts Television, episode 705:
It frustrates me that our local PBS line-up does not include Quilting Arts TV! Luckily, anyone who is in the same boat as I am can order the series on dvd. I got an early copy of the series and started watching them. I learned how to install a proper "facing finish" on a quilt and it has already come in handy several times! No matter what your level of experience in surface design or quilt making, there is a wealth of information in each episode. I recommend it (and not just because I'm in it ;-).
I'm in the same boat Leslie. I can't get Quilting Arts TV here in North Texas either, and I'm not happy about it at all! I would love to see this! I have QATV episodes 1 and 2 but that's as far as I've gotten purchasing them. Looks like I need to get busy and buy some more! D~~~~
ReplyDeleteSeason 7 seems really good: lots of information and an interesting variety of guests (and I'm not just saying that because I'm in Season 7!). I don't think it will disappoint you if you decide to order it.
ReplyDeleteDitto here in Anchorage. I'll have to go the DVD route too -looks great!
ReplyDeleteLet me hear what you think of it. I've picked up some good tips from it!
ReplyDeleteI ordered it, and just have to find the time to watch it... next week I hope.
ReplyDeleteYay, Jackie! I'm looking forward to hearing what you think. I loved doing the "save my UFO" segment. I think Pokey plans to post her quilt that we cut apart and I reassembled once the episode airs. I'm looking forward to posting about it, but it needs to stay under wraps till then.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo - love the gloves! I've seen you in action with your face cloth printing and it is pretty awesome. The sign of a true artist - creating art from mundane objects!
ReplyDeleteHa! The gloves: perhaps a slight improvement over my usual bright pink ones! Ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it. I have just put the DVD on order. Hope to see you soon. S
ReplyDeleteYes, Susie! Must we only see one another in Chicago/Houston when we live less than one hour apart?? LOL. Let's try to find a time to get together.
ReplyDeleteI was part of series 300, and encountered the same...our 2 pbs stations did not carry the show, showed only traditional quilting! I think eventually they did show it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I don't have all the series, but I must get this one...
And congratulations back to you, Julaine, for being in series 300! I would love it if our local PBS would start carrying it. Until then, at least we can order the series on dvd.
