Scenes from the last (ever) MIU "Surviving The Runway"

I didn't realize it until we approached the end, but the era of "Surviving The Runway" is over.  Over the years we have watched and judged as people were given some very odd assortments of materials and asked to make a prom outfit, revisit the 80s, design millinery for a royal wedding, and more.
Here are a few shots from the Houston event:

Surviving the Runway: "The Royal Wedding"

Every year the participants of this event amaze me with their creativity and this year was no exception!
How these people can take the weirdest materials and create seriously cool wearables is beyond me.
This year the challenge was to create a fascinator fit for a queen.  Check it out:
