We just received a "fat email" telling our Austin Quilt Bee group that our quilt, Artists' Garden, has been accepted into the World of Beauty exhibition at the Houston Quilt Festival. We are very excited!
Love it! Are you able to explain the construction of it? For example, how is it bound? And is that white fabric in the background? Regardless, it is fun to look at.
Each piece has finished edges. The lattice pieces unify the quilts, but the white areas are actually open! My quilt is the one in the center. Mine, as well as one or two others, have 3-dimensional areas. The piece is quite stunning in person. I'm honored to be a part of it!
It's beautiful, Leslie! Looking forward to seeing it in person.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa. I am very happy to have been a part of this project, organized by Connie Hudson. It was a lot of fun!
