My "acquired" cousin, Kathy Paule Schnell, is a wonderfully creative spirit. Early this year during a visit to Iowa I admired (read coveted) her wonderfully encrusted "juju" dolls. Last weekend, while spending time with the family for an Iowa Thanksgiving, Kathy surprised me with this fabulous creation. Now, I have to decide what to call her. Any suggestions?
Oh! I don't have a photo of her backside, which is very special.
I'll have to add one later.
oh i love this. especially the nose.
ReplyDeleteI MUST add a photo of her "buns". Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteShe definitely needs an original name, I'm thinking of Marna.
ReplyDeleteI like where you are going with this...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her!! She is absolutely artsy and unique and perfect!
ReplyDeleteI have the perfect name for her! "Catalina Madelina Hoop-a-stanna Walk-a-donna Hoka-Loka-Polka". (Catty for short.) ;^)
ReplyDeleteLucky you, to have received such a wonderful gift!
I love her! What a totally fantastic gift.... she is definitely onto something.
ReplyDeleteName... 'Leslie's Lucky Little Lady'... LeLa for short=))
I acquired some very good cousins-by-marriage!
ReplyDeleteAnd Linda: That IS a good name! I'm not sure I'm smart enough to repeat that without reading it, but I like it, I like it!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really anonymous, just don't know how to do this -- too high tech (really!) for me. The names are good. Maybe "Peggy" could be in there somewhere, re:her right leg. Thanks for posting the photo. Now to figure out how to put it on my facebook page. Love you. Kathy
ReplyDeleteThe "Catty" name comes from a song we used to sing in Brownies ... you sang the long name, and the second line was "She had two hairs in her head ... one was black and the other was red!" which, of course, we always thought was hysterically funny. That's all I remember of it, but I've always loved the name.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you can remember a song you sang in Browies other than, "I've Got Something In My Pocket....."!
ReplyDelete"... it belongs across my face, I keep it very close at hand in a most convenient place! You'll never, never guess it, if you guess a long long while, So I'll take it out and I'll put it on ... it's a Great Big Brownie Smile!"
ReplyDeleteLOL ... never tempt me with a song lyric! ;^)
These lyrics are seared into the psyche of many female boomers. Ha ha!
ReplyDeletePlease sing it to me the next time we see each other. I'll be looking forward to it......
We'll have a duet!
ReplyDeleteyou're on!
ReplyDeleteI love that doll! Jujunie B. Bangle-Tangle is another idea for a name.
ReplyDeleteGood one, Cindy! Another tongue twister!
