When we recently visited the Biltmore Estate, there were at least two Singer Sargents---GW Biltmore had commissioned him to paint two (huge) portraits, one of the architect and one of the landscaper of Biltmore Estate. I was fortunate...He's one of my favorites too. I was fortunate to see a display of his work that traveled to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts several years ago and was in awe of the way he captured the light in his work.
